Data Privacy and Protection Policy (“Policy”) – relevant for Students
L. Frigate Consulting Limited Partnership, is committed to developing, operating and applying such a regulatory, executive and control system which ensures the safekeeping and protection of the users’ personal data in accordance with the criteria specified in relevant legal acts and its fundamental business interests.
The legal framework for the protection of personal data is determined by the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, the Act on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and on Freedom of Information.
The personal data processed by L. Frigate Consulting include in particular data required for identifying and liaising with Students, Schools and Teachers, data required for the provision of a given service and/or data generated and processed in the course of the provision of the given service.
The Policy applies to all Users, who register on the Educalera.com website (“Website”).
The Policy applies to all products, services, websites and apps offered by L.Frigate Consulting under the Website and their subdomains, except where otherwise stated. We refer to those products, services, websites and apps collectively as the “Services” in this policy. Unless otherwise stated, our Services are provided by L. Frigate Consulting.
During providing Services for You, as a Student, we collect certain data from You and about You directly, like information you enter yourself and data about your participation in courses. We also collect technical data automatically, like information about your device and what parts of our Services you interact with or spend time using. We also automatically make available some part of the collected data for the educational institution that provides You with the courses (ie. for those institutions, who provide the courses, into which You, as a Student has been enrolled). No data is shared with those educational institutions, whose courses you, as a Student, are not enrolled into.
In certain cases, your data is shared with those other Students, who are also enrolled into the same course, where you are enrolled in. Your consent at initial registration for our Services also applies to this information sharing with other Students, without any additional acknowledgment at the time of your enrolment into the courses or later, when You participate in the course activities.

Due to data secrecy, we are able to provide information we store about You only after you have identified yourself with an identity card and it is proved that you are the owner of the Student User Account. We serve you with the data within the timelines given by law and according to our best effort.
2. Data You, as a Student, Provide to Us and our different Partners
We collect a variety of information that you provide directly to us. In general, we collect information from you through:
· Using any of our Services, including registering for a Student User Account through the Website(s)
· Making a purchase from us, including registering and enrolling in any Online Course
· Completing the courses You have been enrolled in
· Signing up for email updates
· Uploading or posting to public forums included through the Services
· Submitting requests or questions to us via forms or email
· Requesting customer support and technical assistance
Our external partner may collect other information as well. In order to check who the data processers are, please visit their websites. We list these Partners later, so you can find the relevant information on their site.
The types of data we collect directly from you include:
In order to use certain features (like enrolling yourself into a course as a student, participate in course activities, etc.), you need to create a Student User Account. When you (as a student) create or update your account, we collect and store the data you provide, like your name, email address, residency country and address, telephone number and assign you a unique identifying number (“Student Account Data”). We also collect log-in credentials, if you register a Student User Account with us.
If you are below the age of 16, we need the consent from one of your parents that you can register on our site. Data that we collect from your parent is only their e-mail address.
Parts of the Services let you interact with other users or share content publicly, including by posting reviews on a course page, asking or answering questions, sending messages to other students or teachers, or posting photos or other work you upload. Such shared content may be publicly viewable by others depending on where it is posted.
When you enrol in and take courses, you will be asked to provide us with certain information necessary to conduct such an Online Course.
L.Frigate Consulting or its third-party service providers, may also collect certain information from you in conjunction with courses, assignments, quizzes, exams and other assessments you’ve started and completed in relation to the Online Course. We may also collect information from you or about your performance or accomplishments related to the course, such as quiz/exam scores, grades, project evaluations, teacher evaluations and other evaluations of your performance or accomplishments. Your exchanges with teachers and other students; and essays, answers to questions, and other items submitted to satisfy course requirements may also be collected. Course data may also contain recorded webinars, if the Teacher uses that Service.
Student Payment Data
If you make purchases, please note, however, that we do not collect, store, or transmit financial account information, but rather we use third-party payment processors that process our payments. However, we collect certain data about your purchase (such as your name) as necessary to process your order. You must provide certain payment and billing data directly to our payment processing partners, including your name, billing address, and zip code. For security reasons, neither we nor the Schools collect or store sensitive card information.
If you decide that you transfer the fee of a course via bank transfer, your Bank account number will appear on the School’s bank account as a payer. We are not able to influence this, as this is the discretion of the Banks, which data appears on the bank transfer.
Communications and Support
We never contact You directly via social media private message!
If you contact us for support or to report a problem or concern (regardless of whether you have created an account), we collect and store your contact information, messages, and other data about you like your name, email address, location, operating system, IP address, and any other data you provide or that we collect through automated means (which we cover below). We use this data to respond to you and research your question or concern, in accordance with this Policy.
Information about your customer service and maintenance interactions with us
User-generated content you upload or post to public forums through the Services. Information needed in order to comply with any procedures, laws, and regulations which apply to us where it is necessary for our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of others
